How do you rate South Australian products and produce?

The best South Australian products and produce are the equivalent of, if not better, than anything in the world.  Quality isn't dependent on how big a company is or the size of the market it is situated in.  Quality is all about passion, innovation, attention to detail, knowledge and the desire, will and determination to produce the very best and there are many fine South Australian people and organisations who have these qualities in bucket loads.  Sometimes larger organisations due to their very size can lose the passion of individuals and the obsessive focus on quality required to produce the best, so in many instances the best products will be produced from smaller or mid-size organisations.

What does it mean to you to be a South Australian?

I am very proud to be South Australian, not blindly so but for very good reasons.  We constantly promote the fact that our company is a 3rd generation (moving to 4th generation) South Australian family business.  The "South Australian" part of that statement is as important as the "family" part.  South Australia has a history of excelling in many fields.  Our corporate culture and personal beliefs centre very strongly on the importance of striving for excellence so it's vital to us that we feel our State has the same culture.  Excellence is a worthwhile and virtuous pursuit, so as South Australians we should all feel very proud of and celebrate not just the achievement of excellence but the desire, courage and commitment to pursue it in the first place.
